What is WWW/LX? How does it work? Show me... How to Order WWW/LX

WWW/LX is made of two main programs, and several other auxiliary files and
programs.
This program then starts up other programs and serves them by obtaining
information from the Internet or the Web. This is why we call this program a
"server". The other programs, which are served by WWW.EXE are called
"client" programs.
One of these client programs is HV.EXE. It tells WWW.EXE which Web
documents to obtain from the Web. WWW.EXE performs this request, and passes
the information to HV.EXE. This "client" program specializes in interpreting
HTML tags and formatting textual and graphical information on the Palmtop
screen. (You are now using this program to read this text...)
The small image is an unusual addition to HV, in that it can also display
Palmtop icons. The larger image is a GIF image.
HV can also use an external viewer program such as LXPIC or CSHOW to display
JPEGs.
The following images are "thumbnail" versions of pictures displayed by
HV from the Web by using WWW/LX. Highlight an image (it will show in
negative color), and press Enter. HV will display the full screen version of
the "thumbnail" picture.
Lastly, here is a demonstration of how you would use the AltaVista Search
Engine input screens. You can enter the infor as you would in the real screen,
using the TAB key to move from one field to the next. Of course, you cannot
actually submit this search request, because you need WWW.EXE, the
communication program. Press Enter here to start a
search.
